City groups collecting Toys for Tots

Also Sign-up to receive or to serve Thanksgiving Meals

Ellis County Toys for Tots is collecting gifts for children 14-and-under for another week. Residents, churches, community organizations and businesses will be receiving packages through Saturday, Nov. 20 in Ennis.

The nationally recognized group aim to supply a gift or more to applicants, which are available at the Welcome Center at 201 NW Main Street at Knox Street.

Also, the Community Thanksgiving Meal will be served to anyone who is at risk, the elderly, shut-in, or quarantined this Thanksgiving. To arrange for the service, contact the Bluebonnet Call Center at 972-695-3524 between now and November 22nd.

Ennis CARES, along with local churches, businesses, and community members, will deliver a traditional Thanksgiving meal to the door of individuals or families who sign up.

According to Ennis Cares Director Christen Vick, volunteers are still needed to deliver the Thanksgiving Day meals. To sign up to volunteer, please contact the Bluebonnet Call Center at 972-695-3524.

Approximately 20 locations are drop-off centers for those with Toys for Tots, including:
