Mayor Angie on Ennis Festivals

“Our welcoming attitude and excellence in our festival productions are such an incredible experience, and word is getting around. Many families want what we have…that is, a community where you know your neighbor and get a really welcoming feeling. We have a small-town feeling with increasing amenities and qualities of life. “From an economic standpoint, festivals bring in dollars from visitors that we otherwise wouldn’t capture. It helps our community make improvements to our quality of life and reinvests into additional events which are so very important. I am so impressed that we are offer so many events for free or for minimal charges. “Most other communities don’t offer this. It allows everyone to participate and that is awesome. “The people it takes to put on these festivals are to be commended. They love our city and produce an incredible product. I don’t know if anyone truly understands the months of planning and excellent execution it takes to put these on and make them awesome. The hours over and beyond what is required is so very appreciated. “I am so very proud of every single person, group and staff at the city that creates, dreams and executes these events. We are extremely lucky to have such passionate people who dream bigger and more every single time.”
