A lengthy interview process, which had to be repeated when the first failed to present a hand-in-glove candidate, eventually led to Tullos. The second attempt brought in 150 applicants.
Board President Beard said it was long, “...but very necessary. In a superintendent search, there are numerous, very well-qualified candidates to consider. The board has spent countless hours researching and interviewing many of these with the ultimate goal of finding the one candidate that would best fit our district and the community. We definitely feel that we have found this in Jay Tullos.”
