Those pictured include Margaret Atwood, Blanche Menard, Addlean White, Jessie Harper, Ray Telfair, Arthur McElroy, Jack Castellaw and Oscar Nelson.

Local genealogist Bobbie Dlabaj has been at it again, looking up information on a local man, Joe Reisman, who became a band leader. His name had come up in conversation with a friend who recalled him and Bobbie set out to find out what had happened to him. Bobbie’s letter follows in full:

“I started doing research on a Joe Reisman due to a question from a friend, a woman who has lived in Ennis for many years. She said she remembers his living with his grandmother, Sarah, and attending Ennis High for a while. She said she heard he became a well-known band leader.
