Frances “Mimi” Torres passed away October 9, 2019. A grave side service and interment of her ashes will at St. Joseph’s Cemetery on Monday, April 1, 2024, at 11 a.m. Afterwards, we will gather at Sokol Hall for a pot luck lunch. Maureen Y. Milan died peacefully Tuesday morning with family at her side, March 12,2024 in Waco Tx. She is preceded in death by her mother Inez Casagrande, father Jack Milan, and sister Arlene Schlobohm. She grew up in New York, and Pennsylvania. She began her career there in accounting. Later on in life she moved to Texas, and she managed the Lion Backer in Ennis,Tx until her retirement. She enjoyed everyone that came in to see her there! Those were her happy years surrounded by family n friends. Maureen also was a great lover of gardening, flowers and good music.

Gary Franklin Leake, age 70, passed away on Thursday, February 8, in Corsicana surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 29, 1953 in Charleston, West Virginia to Kenneth and Emalee (Hall) Leake. The family moved to Texas in 1964 and settled in Wilmer. Gary attended school at Wilmer Hutchins High School.

Jo Ella Anderson passed away peacefully in Ennis, Texas February 6, 2024. She was born in Victoria, Texas September 12, 1934, to Della and Thomas Thornton and subsequently moved to Corpus Christi. In 1953 she married Jim Stephens and they raised two daughters, Stephanie and Roxana before divorcing. After moving to Dallas, Jo Ella met and married John Angus Anderson in 1975.

Mary Alice Warrington

Our beloved matriarch, Mary Alice Warrington, passed away on January 15, 2024 in her home in Georgetown, Texas. She was 82. She was born in Waxahachie, Texas on April 9, 1941 to Bessie and Joe Kapavik. She was one of seven children who grew up in Ennis, Texas, went to St. John’s High School, and enjoyed growing up in her tightknit Czechoslovakian family and community.

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Al Langley of Sparks, Nevada, who left us on Friday, December 22, 2023. He was born on October 9, 1933, and lived a full and joyous life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Bamma Langley and by his brothers James and Kenneth Langley.

Harold Chandler Brown, 76, beloved husband, father, “Pops” and friend passed away on December 30, 2023.

Harold was born on February 22, 1947, to William Roy Brown and Frances Chandler Brown in Ennis, Texas. He was married to Linda Marie Pearce on December 5, 1970, until she passed away on December 27, 2012. He married Ann Smith on July 18, 2020, and relocated to Emory, Texas.

Leon Louis Prachyl

Leon Louis Prachyl, born on September 10, 1934, in Ennis, Texas, to Louis and Agnes Prachyl, peacefully passed away on December 23, 2023 surrounded by family. He was one of seven siblings who grew up on a cotton farm between Boyce and Ennis. Leon attended St. John Nepomucene Catholic School, where he formed a strong foundation that would guide him throughout his life. He proudly graduated in 1953.
