Eileen Wheeler, 83, passed away in Carrollton, Texas on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.

Eileen was born in Ennis, Texas on November 4, 1937 to John and Louise (Gallenger) Thompson. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1955. Eileen married John Henry Wheeler on September 16, 1972 and they made their home in Garland.

Eileen worked for several doctors’ offices as a nurse for over twenty years and for the Garland ISD for 22 years in the cafeteria. She enjoyed knitting and painting. Eileen began painting when she moved to the coast.

Theo Everett Davis, 90, passed away, February 10, 2021, at Baylor Hospital in Frisco, Texas. Theo was at peace and knew that he would soon be with his Lord and Savior and love ones in heaven.

On Dec. 11, 1950, Brenda Joyce Collier was born to the late Woodrow Johnson and Georgia Lee Collier.

Brenda united with the Independent Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She participated in all the youth activities of the church. In 2000, she became a charter member of the New Founders Missionary Baptist Church. She was actively involved in the Sanctuary Choir, Women’s Ministry, and culinary committee. She also obtained her Ministerial License through (CRIM), City Reacher’s International Ministries in 2016.

Joe Lee Scott, Jr., 51, passed away on Feb. 14, 2021.

Viewing was held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Greater Mount Rose Primitive Baptist, 708 Ferris Rd., Ferris, Texas 75125.

Funeral service was held on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at 12 p.m., also at Greater Mount Rose Primitive Baptist.

Services were under the direction of Superior Care Funeral Services (Ennis).
