Despite sliding from No. 2 to No. 11 in the state Class 1A coaches poll, Avalon (24-5) has regrouped after back-to-back losses by sweeping Coolidge and Trinidad.
The beat goes on! No. 2 Avalon (22-3) stormed Mount Calm, 3-0, with scores of 25-10, 25-8 and 2514. It was the ninth consecutive win for the Eagles, while the Sept. 22 sweep was the fourth straight match without losing a set and 18th this season.
