For Jake Ozymy, the third time was almost the charm. His third consecutive trip to the UIL Class 1A State Track & Field Championship in Austin moved him to within a nose of claiming the gold medal in 800 meter dash on May 11.
Arieanna Jefferson, a multi-sport athlete at Ferris High School, won the Class 4A girls triple-jump on Thursday at the UIL state track & field championships at Mike Myers Stadium at UT-Austin.
