Presidential Election Still Undecided
Wednesday, November 4, 2020
Millions of votes are still being counted and the outcome of the race between President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden remains undecided, with the possibility that a winner could not be known for days. Key states where results were outstanding included Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan; Democratic stronghold counties in Georgia were still being counted, as well.
Early Wednesday, Trump falsely asserted election fraud, pledging to mount a legal battle to official state results and made a premature claim of victory. Biden insisted that “we believe we’re on track to win this election” and pleaded for patience, citing several key states where the vote count was ongoing.
