VFW Grand Reopening
Ennis Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7106 will celebrate the official grand reopening of their canteen and game room on June 22 at 3100 N. I-45. The public and is invited to check out the new changes. VFW continues their practice of providing free hair cuts for vets at 10 a.m. on the last Sunday (June 29) of every month. Call 972-875-8576 for additional information.
Indian Trails Master Naturalist Presentation
Indian Trails Chapter of Texas Master Naturalist will host a program presentation by Tom Fleming, titled Dragonfly - Top Gun. The event will be held on Monday, June 24 at First United Methodist Church, 505 W. Marvin Ave., in Waxahachie, in the Family Life Center gathering room. There will be a business meeting at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 7 p.m. Tom Fleming is an avid photographer of natural phenomena. He travels to national and state parks and ranches to image landscapes, wildflowers, wildlife, etc. He is a huge fan of dragonflies and will share his directly observed information and anecdotes about their behaviors. This program is part of a series of no cost, open to the public Master Naturalist programs offered generally the fourth Monday of each month from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. All are welcome.
