Mary Occo Merritt Ferguson

Mary Occo Merritt Ferguson entered eternal rest on June 22, 2019, at the age of 66.

She was born on June 30, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Joe and Occo (Coffman) Merritt and had two siblings: Gary Merritt and Marsha Merritt. On March 29, 1980, she married Rick Ferguson; they had three children: Tara, Emily, and Alex. She and Rick lived in La Vernia, Texas for nearly three decades where they taught at La Vernia High School. Mary leaves behind many friends and family members who love her.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at La Vernia Church of Christ.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2019, at 2 p.m. at La Vernia Church of Christ, La Vernia, TX.
