Jo Wesley
Jo Wesley, 64, died Monday, July 27, 2020 in Duncanville, Texas. Jo was born August 28, 1955 in Waco, Texas to Abdon A. and Helen (Divin) Sulak. She graduated from Ennis High School in 1973. On December 10, 1988 she married Don Wesley.
Jo worked for Helping Hands of Ennis for over seventeen years before retiring in 2008. She was a Catholic and a member of KJZT. She loved her family and loved listening to her brothers who played in The Sulak Brothers Band. Jo enjoyed cooking Czech food and reading. Jo had been First Lady of Ennis in 1997, Volunteer of the Year for United Way in 1992, Volunteer of the Year for Greater Ennis United Way in 1994, Chamber Volunteer of the Year for the Ennis Chamber of Commerce 1993-1994 and Above and Beyond the Call of Duty for Ennis Chamber of Commerce for 1995.
Jo is survived by her husband of over thirty-one years, Don Wesley; son, Don Wesley, Jr. and wife, Bethany; sisters: Lydia Murrish, Cecilia McAfee and husband, Jerry; brothers: Leon Sulak and Bill Grant; three grandsons; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Abjohn Sulak and Lawrence Sulak and sister, Mary Helen Sulak.
