Lilia Goni Osborn
Lilia Goni Osborn, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Rowlett, Texas. She was born on April 25, 1936 to Manuel Goni and Jovita L. De Llergo in Mexico.
On February 14, 1963 Lilia married the love of her life James Alan Osborn in Mexico City. She was a general accountant for Neiman Marcus and later for the oil industry where she applied her oil revenue accounting skills with Chemical Revenue at Ensco and several other oil companies in Houston. Lilia loved to travel and was an amazing artist. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. Lilia was also a member of The Red Hatters. Lilia loved spending time with them and so enjoyed their get togethers. On weekends she loved to take rides in the country.
Lilia is survived by her loving husband, James Alan Osborn of Ennis, sisters, Mary Rodriguez and Guadalupe Azli; nieces, Gloria Ruth Garcia, Teresa Noble, Muncha Noble; nephews, Jorge Goni, Jose Rodriguez, Beto Vasquez, Jose Manuel Hernandez, Juan Manuel Vasquez, Tonio Azli and numerous extended family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and five sisters.
A Liturgy outside of Mass was held at 10 a.m., on Thursday September 3, 2020, at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis, with Father Agustin Fuertes as Celebrant. Interment followed at Myrtle Cemetery.
