Only one of five positions appearing on the Saturday, May 1, general ballot has an opponent, though the at-large race will be for mayor of Ennis. Four of the others failed to draw the interest of anyone to challenge the incumbents.
Current Mayor, Angie Juenemann, has served a well-received three-year term.
