Like cream rising to the top, one of the strengths of Theatre Rocks, playwrighting, was thrust front and center with the completion of their first-ever nationwide competition. Lily Derr, of Waxahachie High School, was one of four finalists, including the winner, 70-year-old Linda LaRocque.
