Raymond S. Dlabaj
Raymond S. Dlabaj, 91, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, August 25, 2021.
Raymond was born in Ennis, Texas on July 25, 1930, to John and Aloise (Bedrich) Dlabaj, Sr. He grew up in Ennis and attended school there. On June 28, 1952, he married Evelyn J. Vlacilek. Raymond served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1953-1954 in the Korean War.
Raymond worked as a plumber and later opened his own company Advance Plumbing Service which he managed for over fifty-two years where he enjoyed serving and visiting with his customers. Raymond was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJT, SPJST and Western Fraternal. Of the many things Raymond enjoyed, spending time with his family was always his favorite before hunting, fishing, and music. In 1971 he created The Country Boys band where he was a proud accordion player and enjoyed playing and entertaining the crowds.
Raymond is survived by daughters: Sandy Adamcik and husband, Bobby and Diane Lucien and husband, Alan; four grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of sixty years, Evelyn Dlabaj; seven brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
