Billy Jack 'Jackie' Wilhoite
Billy Jack “Jackie” Wilhoite, 78, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, April 21, 2024.
Jackie was born in Ennis, Texas, on March 3, 1946 to Robert E. Wilhoite Jr., and Blondina Isabelle (Fuller) Wilhoite. Jackie married the love of his life, Vicki Jane Barham on January 9, 1975, and they made their home in Ennis, Texas.
He worked along side his dad, and brother for many many years for Wilhoite & Sons Sand & Gravel. He then worked as a truck driver for Ennis Transportation. After retirement, he enjoyed working in the yard, and being with family. He was not one to sit still, he was always outside. He loved watching football, with the Dallas Cowboys being his team. He was a big Ennis Lion fan as well. He listened to them every Friday night! He also enjoyed watching his old westerns.
Jackie is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Vicki Jane Wilhoite, a son Coy Lynn Wilhoite and his wife Carolyn. Daughters Tanya Price and her husband Steve, Torri Mullins and her husband Johnny, and Lisa Kiburn. Grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Morgan, Garrett and his wife Jami, Nathan, Elizabeth and Matthew, along with 8 great grandchildren, Jacob Lee, Jaxon Keith, Reagan Rene, Rylin Deana Rose, Walker Dillard, Kelton Cayne, Henley LaNae and Gunner Cole. Brother, Robbie Lee Wilhoite and wife Lue Ann, sisters Shirley Jean McCurrin and husband Matt, and Brenda Sue Rider, along with several nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Robert Wayne Wilhoite and a sister Patricia Ann Wilhoite.
