Dixie Ruth Odiorne
Dixie Ruth Odiorne was born July 18, 1936 to James W and Dorothy (Anderson) Childers. She was married to Jackie Odiorne for 56 years and they lived in DeSoto, Texas. She and her husband Jackie enjoyed working together for 40 years at their studio, Photography by Jack, in Ennis, TX.
She grew up in the community of Bristol, TX and graduated from Ferris High School. She was grateful to return to her hometown in the last few years and was a member of Bristol Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in the yard, decorating, quilting and music.
She is survived by her son David Odiorne and wife Tracy of Bristol, TX; daughter Kimberly Beeler and husband Cameron of Escondido, CA; her grandchildren Zackary Odiorne, Shiloh, Analiese and Wyatt Beeler, her sister Janis Coleman of Bristol, TX, brother James Childers and wife Kay of Cedar Creek, TX, a niece, several nephews, a great niece and two great nephews.
Dixie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jackie and her sisters Shirley Sills and Elizabeth Guthrie.
A private family burial will be held at a later date to lay the ashes of Dixie and Jackie together to rest at Bristol cemetery.
