Joe David Strunc
Joe David Strunc, 67, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Sunday, March 15, 2020.
Joe was born on December 20, 1952 to Miles and Dorothy (Patak) Strunc. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1971. On June 23, 1972 Joe married the love of his life Theresa Patak and they made their home in Ennis. Joe served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1971-1975 serving two tours in Japan.
Joe worked for thirty-two years as a printer and Inventory Manager for Global Group retiring in 2010 and for Fine Line Ribbon Company as a Vice President for over fifteen years. Joe was a faithful member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJT, Knights of Columbus and SPJST. He was an avid fan of the Texas Rangers. He enjoyed hunting, watching his grandchildren grow up, tending to the farm and hanging with his best buds at the KJT. He also loved setting sail on cruises with Theresa and their closest friends.
Joe is survived by his wife of over forty-seven years, Theresa Strunc; daughter, Rebecca Escobar and husband, Louis; four grandchildren: Kayla and husband, Nick, Kolby, Ben and Lily; four brothers: Robert Strunc and wife, Judy, Danny Strunc and wife, Phyllis, Ronnie Strunc and wife, Debbie and Kenny Strunc; a sister, Connie Bragg and husband, Keith along with a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Robin Cervantes.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. at the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
Mass of the Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
