Mary F. Tignor
Mary F. Tignor was united with Jesus on May 1, 2023. She was born in Texas to Minnie Lee and Curtis Lee Cook. An Ennis, Texas girl through and through, she lived in and loved her home in Rice. Mary continued her education earning a Business Degree. She blessed so many lives just by being who she is. A loving wife and warm, caring mother, Mary leaves a legacy of open arms and acceptance that lives on through all that knew her.
Mary never met a stranger and was called “momma” by many. She devoted her life to the care of her family. Mary married her late husband Troy L. Tignor and the two shared 51 years together. She later married Maunel Perez with whom she has shared 21 years. Mother, wife, grandmother – these were her most cherished roles. Baking cakes, planting flowers, searching the flea market for treasure were some of her most favorite pastimes. She had a vast collection of Minnie and Mickey Mouse. She enjoyed the movie While I was Sleeping, and her good humor was marked by her fondness of all the Madea Movies. Her favorite songs were Stand by Me and House of the Rising Sun. Family gatherings and events, most notably holidays and birthdays, were always special times to be celebrated.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Troy L. Tignor; son Marvin E. Tignor; and son Curtis L. Tignor.
Mary is survived by her husband Manuel Perez; daughter Mary Len Reynolds and son-in-law George Reynolds; son Scott Bridges; daughterin- law Cheryl Tignor; son David Frost; brother Billy Cook; grandchildren Ryan Mikula; Kimberly Mikula; David McClure; Brittany Tignor; Marvin Tignor; Tyla Reynolds; Tim Barnard; Sara Crider; Bobby Barnard; many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at the Creechville Road Baptist Church, 900 Creechville Rd., Ennis, TX.
