Michael Wright Elliott
Michael Wright Elliott of Alma Texas went to be with his Lord and savior on February 6,2021. He was 74 years old.
He was born on November 15,1946 in Ennis Tx to Wendell and Elizabeth Elliott and was a lifelong resident of Alma. He attended school in Ennis Tx and was a graduate of Ennis High School in 1964. Upon gradua tion, he served in the Army National Guard. Mike married his life long partner, Betty Jane Timms, on August 19,1966.
Mike was preceeded in death by his parents, Wendell and Elizabeth Elliott, and brother Gary Elliott.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Elliott of Alma, daughters and son in laws, Amy and Randy Sims of Ennis and Jennifer and Billy Bosarge of Ennis. Grand children Christopher Parrish and wife Tonya of Ennis, Mason Parrish of Austin, Clay Sims and Ryan Sims of Forney and Scott Dowell of Dallas. Great grandchildren Carter and Carson Parrish of Ennis. He is also survived by two brothers, Roy Thomas Elliott and wife Shirley of Meredian Tx and Larry Elliott of San Diego California. Sister in laws Joyce Reeve and husband Lawrence , Margie McCaig and husband Larry, Anna Elliott as well as many nieces and nephews.
Mikes professional career included Ennis Business Forms, Southern Pacific Railroad, and Oil City Iron Works where he retired from on May 6,2010.
Mike served for the Alma Volunteer Fire Department as a first responder/volunteer fireman for 44 years.
Mike was an avid hunter and outdoorsmen. He enjoyed his many travels with both family and friends and his works as a taxidermist in his spare time. He collected caps from all of his travels and was also an avid collector of case knives. He enjoyed his time spent with both grandkids and great grandchidren. His most valuable time spent was that with family!

Services: Visitation - Thursday, Feb. 11, 2021, 12:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. and the Funeral Service will follow at 2 p.m. with Matt Bailey and Don Keilers officiating under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. in Ennis Tx. Pallbearers will be Chip Reeve, David Reeve, Billy Bosarge, Jeremy Elliott, Jody Munn and Lynn Spaniel Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Parrish, Mason Parrish, Clay Sims, Ryan Sims, Scotty Dowell, Larry Cook and Alma Volunteer Fire Department and First Responders. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Alma Volunteer Fire Department and/or Lewy Body Dementia Foundation.
