Text from a friend
“Good beautiful morning from Lake Clark in Ennis, Texas.
I am sure most people who were of age on September 11, 2001 remember where they were and what they were doing when news of the attack on the twin towers took place. But as I sit here and contemplate this morning, my thoughts move to the following morning when reality set in, because initially so much seemed to be so surreal. But now there is heaviness and grief, realization of loss, knowledge of vulnerability and myriad of thoughts, concerns and fears gripped the New Yorkers as well as much of the nation and maybe even broader to other countries.
Our prayers for God’s grace and comfort are still in place to minister to those who experienced personal loss that day. It was the day that changed the course of nations, military activities and a whole different life pattern for many.
Our hope in Jesus, always. When all else fails He is still in place as the rock that stands as the shelter that comforts and as the shepherd that guides and protects. We are blessed indeed to know Him and to know that He knows us.
May God bless the United States of America with the reviving of His grace and truth through a powerful work of His Holy Spirit in every heart and aspect of the fiber that makes us who we are as a people and as the United States.
May the will of the Lord God be done one arth, and this nation,as it is in heaven.”
