Senior guard Quianna Robinson powered the Ennis Lady Lions basketball team to a 55-19 win at Class 6A Irving on Tuesday. HC David Kilpatrick’s team unleashed a lethal press that forced 24 turnovers and fueled the team to a 28-8 lead at intermission.
Robinson led Team Lionness in scoring with 16 points by sinking 6-of-10 shots as well as 4-of-5 free throws. She laid hold of seven rebounds and dished out four assists. Ashanti Grimes added 10 points, while Ja’Mya Williams scored 8 and had 10 rebounds.
Ennis, now 3-5, is at home on Tuesday, Dec. 8, against North Mesquite at 6:30 p.m. The varsity boys will play
