Senior setter Macey Maxwell totaled 10 assists, scooped nine digs and fired 9 of her team’s 23 aces in a 3-0 sweep of Avalon (4-2). Palmer (6-2) rolled 25-13, 25-19, 25-19. Chloe Cisneros and Mackenzie Marusak each had five kills, while Alexa Pelerose added nine digs and Morgan Zabojnik received 19 serves.

The Lady Bulldogs are at Life Waxahachie on Sept. 1 before hosting Rice on Sept. 4 at 4:30 p.m.

Avalon plays at home for three straight: Sept. 1 against Penelope (5 p.m.), Sept. 4 vs. Bynum (4:30 p.m.) and Sept. 8 when they entertain Rio Vista (5:30 p.m.).
