Ennis Police responded to reports of multiple shots being fired on the 900 block of S. Merriott St. on Friday night, Dec. 4. Officers arrived to the scene, two blocks east of S. Clay St., and discovered two adults deceased in a vehicle.
The perpetrator(s) immediately left the area in a vehicle from which shots were discharged.
Witnesses said numerous shots were fired, which the targeted car confirmed. Justice of the Peace Jesse Miller conducted an inquest of what has been ruled a double homicide. An EMS unit appeared though both had already succumbed.
