Vendors Sought for Bluebonnet Market

Bluebonnet Market, which will open next Saturday, April 3, continues to welcome new vendors or previous vendors. A’Lara Smith, who directs the seven months of Saturday mornings, 8 a.m. until noon, says the no-cost weekly charge will continue this year.

Corsicana scores late, tops first place Lions

No. 22 ranked Corsicana (15-4) broke up a scoreless game with a run in the bottom of the fourth and held off an Ennis comeback bid in the seventh to earn a 4-1 home triumph at Price Field on Tuesday.

The ace of the Tigers staff, senior Kolby Kinkade, personified Houdini by getting out of scoring threats by the Lions in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings. Reliever Bryden Hernandez picked up a save by hurling the last two innings.

Lady Lions roll to fourth straight win

After an 0-2 start in district play, Ennis has made an about-face with four consecutive wins to move into the playoff hunt at the midway point in the race for a post-season berth.

Tuesday at Cleburne the Lady Lions came out strong, establishing a 6-0 lead, and then held off a late Yellow Jackets rally to post a 7-5 win on the road.
