Christmas Concert at Ambassador Baptist

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at the church located at 2200 Ensign Rd. Doors open at 6 p.m.and seating is limited. Love offering will be taken.

Two Houston-based railroad-employed brothers who shared a room in Ennis on stopovers actually went two years without even seeing each other, or so a 1939 syndicated column claimed. The brothers’ shifts never overlapped so, although they shared the same bed in the boarding house, they were never there at the same time. The men, J. E. O’Leary and Conductor D. L. O’Leary, maintained separate residences in Houston and in different parts of town

Sandra S. Anderson, 75, passed away on November 9, 2021, in Ennis, Texas. Sandy was born in Dallas, TX on March 29, 1946, to Norma and Henry Grady King III. She graduated from Carrolton High School in 1964 where she then attended Texas Tech University, and subsequently worked for the Kim Dawson Modeling Agency, and Johnson & Johnson. She married Bryce Anderson on July 8, 1966. Shortly after being married, they moved to Saskatchewan, Canada for a year until moving back to Dallas, TX where they settled and had two children, John and Amy.
