Class 6A Waxahachie High School expects to name a new head football coach on Monday, Feb. 8, during the WISD Board of Trustees meeting. Reports making the waves are that over 120 applicants sent resumes. The position became available on Jan. 7 when Todd Alexander stepped down after three seasons.
Athletic Director Greg Reed, like Alexander, a 1989 or 1990 ‘Hachie grad, has spearheaded three search committees to sort through and sift the stack of wanna-be Tribal Chiefs. The final committee funneled the preferred names down to two, who were interviewed on Thursday of this week.
