Bitter cold conditions that left the Metroplex with once-in-a-decade snow, ice and wind chill, Monday, Feb. 22, brought a return of area students to all Big 5 campuses.
Ennis, Ferris, Palmer, Italy and Avalon Independent School Districts all reported that classes resumed normally after weekend safety checks.
Ennis ISD Superintendent Jay Tullus credited the City of Ennis and its power source on the edge of town. “Due to the power staying on in town we had very minimal issues on our campuses,” he said. “We are fully operational.”
