No. 22 ranked Corsicana (15-4) broke up a scoreless game with a run in the bottom of the fourth and held off an Ennis comeback bid in the seventh to earn a 4-1 home triumph at Price Field on Tuesday.
The ace of the Tigers staff, senior Kolby Kinkade, personified Houdini by getting out of scoring threats by the Lions in the first, second, fourth and fifth innings. Reliever Bryden Hernandez picked up a save by hurling the last two innings.
