Leslie Stephen Zhanel departed this life at the age of 91, on April 23, 2020 in Ennis, Texas. He was born in Ennis on December 5, 1928 to his parents, Mary (Dlabaj) Zhanel and Anton Zhanel. He married the love of his life, Wilma (Prachyl) Zhanel on June 10, 1950 in Ennis, Texas. Leslie retired from Ennis Automotive after working there for many years. He loved sports, especially watching the Texas Rangers, and watching his grandkids play baseball and football. He was an extraordinaire horseshoe player, enjoyed playing dominoes, playing 42, going to casinos, and spending time at his farm.

Ella Toni Babek, age 89, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 9, 2020, surrounded by family. She was born January 2, 1931, in Ennis, Texas to Louis Zabojnik and Mary (Valek) Zabojnik.

Ella and her husband George were married for 70 years. Ella loved dancing and fishing with George. She was a good cook and loved to have her home clean and tidy. She liked being outside whether it be to fish, work in the garden, or go camping with George and family. Ella was a member of SPJST, KJZT, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arlington, Texas,

Joe David Strunc, 67, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

Joe was born on December 20, 1952 to Miles and Dorothy (Patak) Strunc. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1971. On June 23, 1972 Joe married the love of his life Theresa Patak and they made their home in Ennis. Joe served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1971-1975 serving two tours in Japan.
