Ennis has a newly elected official in Mayor Pro Tempore Jake Holland. He follows Matt Walker, who had served in the position since 2013. Walker chose not to run for reelection.
Mayor Angie Juenemann said Walker is building a house outside of the city limits, which is a requirement for election.
