Friends of ERMC to Meet

National Day of Prayer

Helping Hands Open House
Helping Hands of Ennis is hosting an Open House on Tuesday, May 10, between 5-7 p.m. The come-and-go event includes refreshments and will be held at their facilities located at 604 NE Main Street.
“We will allow our guests to tour our newly remodeled building,” said Samantha Mendoza, “in which everyone will see our expanded waiting area, renovated office area, expanded pantry and renovated thrift shop.”
Director Korey McCrady will help facilitate tours of the building and has indicated that “guests will get the opportunity to meet our board of directors and staff.”
Helping Hands of Ennis has been assisting families in Eastern Ellis Counties in crisis since 1988, and includes the on-site Spirit of Sharing Thrift Store.
Spring voting dates released
Ellis County officials have announced several important dates prior to the Saturday, May 7, Joint General and Special Elections. The last day to register to vote is Thursday, April 7.
It begins with Early Voting, April 25-30 as well as May 2-3. There is no voting allowed on Sunday, May 1. There will be seven polling locations, including the main location, Elections Office at 204 E. Jefferson St., Waxahachie, 75165.
Branch locations for early voting has six sites; Ellis County Sub-Courthouse (foyer), 207 S. Sonoma Trail, Ennis 75119. Midlothian Conference Center (lobby), 1 Community Circle Dr., Midlothian 76065. Palmer ISD Annex Building (portable building), 303 Bulldog Way, Palmer 75152. Red Oak Municipal Center (Evelyn Pitts rm) 200 Lakeview Pkwy, Red Oak 75154. Waxahachie ISD Admin Bldg (board rm) 411 N. Gibson, Waxahachie 75165. Mt Gilead Baptist Church (fellowship hall) 106 Harris St., Italy 76651.
There will be 18 polling locations in Ellis County on Election Day, May 7.
