Christina K. Cruz

Christina K. Cruz, 41, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, December 21, 2019. Christina was born in Houston, Texas on February 27, 1978 to Orlando Cruz and Karen Kay Gunn. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1997. Christina was a fun loving person who loved her family. She enjoyed arts and crafts and loved all types of music. Christina is survived by her father, Cruz Orlando Cruz; her mother, Karen Kay Gunn; brothers: C. J. Cruz, Matthew Gunn, Eric Cruz, and Garrett Rankin; sister, Andrea Cruz and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by grandparents: Walter Gunn and Perla Maria Cruz, cousins, Brad Gunn and Laurie Cruz and uncle, Andrew Cruz. Visitation was held on Thursday, December 26, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial was held on Friday, December 27, 2019 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father John Dick as celebrant. Pallbearers were Matthew Gunn, C.J. Cruz, Eric Cruz, Garrett Rankin, Christopher Cruz and Ryan Miller. Interment followed in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
