Gregory Navarro
Gregory Navarro, 84, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Thursday, February 6, 2020.
Gregory was born in Palmer, Texas on March 12, 1935 to Ruperto and Reyes (Hernandez) Navarro. He grew up in Palmer and Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1953. On March 2, 1961 Gregory married the love of his life Eudelia Cantu and they made their home in Ennis. Gregory served in the United States Army from 1957-1959 and again in 1961-1962 in Cuba.
Gregory worked for Leggett and Platt as a foreman, for American National Insurance in sales, for Southern Pacific Railroad for twenty-five years as a clerk and retired from Trinity River Authority in 1997 as a technician. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, American Legion, Sokol and SPJST. Gregory’s family was the joy of his life and he enjoyed cooking, the Texas Rangers and all sporting events.
Gregory is survived by his loving wife, Eudelia Navarro; son, Greg Navarro; daughter, Tina Navarro; grandchildren: Cambry and husband, Sam Foster, Lauren and Alec; one great-grandchild, Carson; one brother, John Navarro and a host of extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and ten siblings.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis and Rosary was recited at 3 p.m.
