Jimmy Carpenter, Jr.
On March 2, 2022, Jimmy Carpenter, Jr., age 56, of Corsicana, Texas left his earthly home to spend eternity with his Lord and Savior in heaven. Funeral services honoring his life were held 2 P.M., Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church, Buffalo, Texas with pastor, Ray Grissett, officiating. Interment followed in Buffalo Cemetery, Buffalo, Texas.
Jimmy Jerald Carpenter, Jr. was born July 22, 1965 in Teague, Texas to Jimmie Jerald, Sr. & Charlsey Faye (Hall) Carpenter. He married Barbara Brazier February 3, 1984. Jimmy gave his life to the Lord and was baptized in 1985 and had attended Bethel Baptist when he was able. Jimmy had worked for over twenty years in process operations for an oil refinery and the past eight years as a truck driver, most recently for Nitro-Lift Technologies.
Jimmy was a man who valued honesty, integrity and hard work. All of these qualities were ones that Jimmy displayed on a daily basis. He placed his Lord above all else in life and made his family a top priority, continuously making provisions throughout his life for them. Jimmy was never a stranger to hard work and instilled this belief in his children, as well. He had the opportunity to work alongside his son at a chemical plant, which is a memory that will never be forgotten by Jimmy’s son.
All of Jimmy’s hard work did not afford him much free time, but his favorite pastime was fishing with his family, and Jimmy always enjoyed himself when doing so. His second favorite pastime was eating, and it was one that couldn’t be given up easily as Jimmy had several excellent cooks in his family and couldn’t pass up a good meal!
Jimmy’s family will forever remember him for his tender and caring heart, his humble nature and hard work ethic. He will be greatly missed.
Jimmy was preceded in death by both of his parents; paternal grandparents, W.T. & Zelda Carpenter and maternal grandparents, Alvin & Irene Hall.
