Maggie Carr Watson-Dean
Maggie Carr Watson-Dean passed away on Oct. 2, 2019. Visitation will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. Both services will be held at The New Founders Missionary Baptist Church, 1903 Lafayette St., Ennis, Texas 75119.
Maggie grew up in Ennis, Texas ,where she attended George Washington Carver and was a part of the class of 1962. In 1972, she attended the Dallas Institute of Art while rearing her children, being a homemaker and wife. Later, she began working for Ennis Business Forms for several years.
She met and married James E. Watson in July of 1962 and to the union five children were born. Later, she met and married Odie Dean and to this union no children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her five children; Ann Barnes (Stephen) of Ennis, Kenneth (Alivia) Watson of Ennis, Donald (Stacey) Watson of Forney, Ronald (Norma) Watson of Forney, Patricia (Tim) Collins of Goliad; one brother, Q. Lee Carr (Maggie) of Ennis; one sister, Edna Carr-Jones of Ennis; special niece, Daphne L. Baggett of Ennis; one sister in law, Dorothy Carr; 18 grandchildren: AArica Watson, Keeyshia Barnes (Terrence Lashuni Linston - deceased), Brandon Barnes, Brittany (Zane) Brown, Kaden Collins, Ebonee (Ronald) King, Kandace Watson, Aaron Lewis, Ashley (Kendrell) Moore, Jasmine Watson, Kenneth K. Watson, Kendrick Watson, Rodney (Thomasina) Edwards, James Tyler Watson, Nathan Watson, Ryan Jackson, Lisa (David) Cruz, Monica (Robert) Gonzalez; 16 great grandchildren: Aaden Hill, Amaya Brown, Jaedyn King, Kynlee King, Taryn Linston, Isaiah Rhone, Jada Rhone, Miles Rhone, Jayden Edwards, David Cruz, Jr., Andrew Cruz, Evelyn Cruz, Alexander Cruz, Josie Rodriguez, Matthew Hernandez (Monse), Leyla Rodriguez; one great great grandchild, Nathan Hernandez.
