Petra LaDawn McGraw

Funeral Services for Ms. Petra LaDawn McGraw was held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020, at 11 a.m., at Fourth Ward Baptist Church, 1300 N. Shawnee St., Ennis, Texas 75119, with Pastor Steven Edwards officiating. Friends and family are welcome for visitation on Wednesday morning, as well.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., also at Fourth Ward Baptist Church.

Petra passed on Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at Dallas Methodist Medical Center. Petra was a 1988 graduate of Ennis High School. She received her Associates Degree in Science and General Studies at Navarro College and attended University of North Texas and Paul Quinn College. She was employed by the State of Texas Department of Health and Human Services for eighteen years.

Petra leaves her father, Dr. Lenell McGraw; mother, Mrs. Sidney Portis McGraw; brother, John P. McGraw, and sister, Tangra McGraw Skarda; nieces: Ashlyn McGraw, Abigail Skarda, Ariel Ford and Armoni Jones; nephews: John Christopher McGraw and Luke Elton Skarda; four aunts Mrs. Janice Portis, Mrs. Tecumseh Thompson, Mrs. Billie Nelson and Ms. Gereta McGraw; one uncle Othridge McGraw, and many relatives and friends.
