Warren Lynn Eves

Warren Lynn Eves, 80, passed away into the arms of his friend, Jesus, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, in Waxahachie, Texas. Lynn was born in Ennis, Texas, February 26, 1942, to Robert Bruce Eves and Ruby Wilson Eves.

He grew up in Telico and graduated from Ennis High School in 1960. He was an avid Ennis Lions Football fan until his death, going to all the games until his health prevented him from attending; he then listened to every game on the radio. Lynn worked for Owens Corning for 40 years, retiring in 2005.

He is survived by his children: Karen Lynn Eves, Jill Eves Howard and Justin Nelson Eves; grandchildren: Richard Blake Howard II and wife, Jennifer Howard, and Jacob Bradley Howard and wife, Rebecca Howard; great grandchildren: Amelia Ann Howard, Adalynn Blake Howard and Mason James Howard; surviving siblings: Jerry Dan Eves and wife, Barbara; Rebecca Ann Hanson and Sandra Gail Kubin and husband, Willie Kubin. He is also survived by sister-in-law, Henrietta Eves; nieces and nephews: Harold Dal, Jason Dal, David Kubin, Jeff Kubin, Robert Eves, Dana Eves, and Cindy Eves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Ruby Eves, and brother Doyce Wynell Eves.

Lynn made friends easily with those he worked with and with those who attended him at the retirement center where he made his home in his last years. Heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people who cared for him in his last valiant fight against COPD, both the employees at Brookdale Waxahachie and Bristol Hospice. Their tender, loving care was a blessing to his family.

Lynn enjoyed going to Ennis Lions football games with family and looked forward to football season every year. He was sort of a rebel in his youth and spent many years riding his beloved Harley Davidson. Lynn had a wicked sense of humor which was evident even in his last weeks of life. His siblings have fond memories of him when they were growing up around Telico and could tell many funny stories that happened.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 8, 2022, with visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., at J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis, and graveside services at the Telico Cemetery at 2 p.m., under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
