Todd Alexander, the head coach at Waxahachie for three years, stepped down on Thursday, Jan. 7, according to a statement from the Waxahachie ISD. The decision was on his terms and without a trace of ill will.
A 1990 alum of Waxahachie, he was the first ever graduate to take the reigns of the Indians football team. The Tribe went 5-5 this fall, including a playoff loss at Temple (10-2). Referring to his stint, which followed a tumultuous three-years with Jon Kitna at the helm, Alexander said it was an “awesome experience” to serve as the head coach.
