Dear Editor:

My name is Robert Whitmore and attended Ubbi Dubbi at 53 years old. I’d like to describe Ubbi Dubbi from an old guy’s point of view who entered the Rave scene in 1984 and has loved it ever since.

Ubbi Dubbi was my first EDM (Electronic Dance Music) event in Texas since moving to NC in ‘88. I’ve been to many shows and small festivals over the years, but this was my first large commercial festival. I’m typically not a large crowd person but being in Texas, I was confident I would enjoy it, but had no idea just how much.

Hello! I am from Chicago IL, and I had the pleasure of attending this year’s Ubbi Dubbi Music Festival in Ennis, TX with my boyfriend, Ryan. I just wanted to say thank you so much to Ennis Texas for being such a great place, the Texas Motorplex for providing the venue, and for the amazing staff that hosted such a wonderful event. It was full of great vibes and positive energy and we had the best time ever!!! The EDM culture continues to bring such amazing people together and spread so much love! Can’t wait for next year!!

I would like to take some time to express my utmost gratitude to Ennis and the surrounding communities for hosting the festival. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Big thanks to the event staff for working hard and making sure everything went off smoothly. Not only did I make a lot of new rave buddies but also connected with some of the locals there. Over 60,000 Ravers attended local fest

A week after Ennis delighted in 35,000 people downtown for the Bluebonnet Trails and Festival, a much larger event, the EDM epicenter, with over 60,000 revelers, busted a move to the Texas Motorplex, just four miles outside of town.

Electronic dance music (EDM) was the attraction of the venue deemed the First Fest Back. It drew a colorful, rhythmic and well-behaved crowd to what was called the Ubbi Dubbi Festival. Taking advantage of over 500 acres at the outdoor super drag-strip track, thousands camped out over three nights.
