Ennis and the KJT Auditorium hosted the Tolbart Texas State Chili and Meat Championship Cookoff during June 11-12. Four locals placed and were awarded at the conclusion inside the lodge at 1216 S. Paris Street.
Wade Hull, who owns Shilen Rifles, took home top honors in cooking chicken.
Willie Joe Salik was one of two to win a pair of awards, includ ing second in brisket and third in chicken. He is the owner of Salik Plumbing.
Ennis Ford sales rep, Thomas Bartee, drew third place honors in brisket.
