Ferris hires new fire chief in Horton

Introduced and starting on the same day, Ferris welcomed new Fire Chief Brian Horton on Monday, Jan. 6. He previously served for 21 years as a firefighter/driver in Athens as well as filling the role as Assistant Chief in Canton for 10 years.

“I am very excited to get started” he told The Ennis News two days ago. “Ferris is on the cusp of a number of very positive commercial and residential happenings and the future is great here.”
