Never has a more symbolic event preceded the creation of a park for dogs than a line of tall trees in downtown Ennis.
Located at the corner of North Plaza on North Dallas at Baylor Street, Puppy Park will be an 80-foot by 80-foot fenced in setting. While the remainder of the 3.5 acre lot was recently paved and striped, the southwest corner is all grass.
According to City Manager Scott Dixon, the construction work at the property will begin in mid-July. It will be comprised of a watering system, new sod and eight trees, all inside a fenced-in area.
