Gary Wayne Greener

Gary Wayne Greener, age 32, of West, passed away early Thursday afternoon, October 14, 2021, at Providence Health Center in Waco.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, followed by visitation until 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek and Rev. Timothy Vaverek as celebrants. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Mary Ann Toupal

Mary Ann Toupal passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021, just one day shy of her 91st birthday. By her side when she entered into her Heavenly home were her caregivers, daughter Jeanette and her husband Jeff along with granddaughter Erika and her husband Gage.

Richard Louis Jurica, Sr.

Richard Louis Jurica Sr., age 75 of Rowlett, TX, passed away October 10, 2021. He was born May 20, 1946, in Ennis, TX, to John and Helen (Pekar) Jurica. Richard loved his family and the time he spent with them. He was a good cook and enjoyed gathering with his friends and family, especially at Christmas. His presence will be deeply missed.

William Haisler, age 67, passed away on October 10, 2021.

William was born in Hillsboro, TX to William Haisler Jr. and Joanne King.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne; wife, Cathy Haisler; and daughter, Angela Sorrells.

He is survived by his father, William Haisler, Jr.; son, Jodie Sorrells; daughters, Kandi Haisler and Gina Haisler; brother, Nolan; sisters: Rose, Rita, Raven, June and Joan; grandchildren: Paige, Travis, Ashtyn, Shae, Dylan, Paition and Katilyn; and numerous nieces, nephews and many other loved ones.

Carolyn Lynch (Whitaker) passed away on Friday, October 1, 2021, with her family by her side.

She was born March 19, 1946, in Atascadero, California, to Eugene and Beat Whitaker. She was raised in Grand Saline, Texas, where she met the love of her life Kenneth Lynch. They were married 56 years.

James Thomas Jones, 91, left this earth on September 25, 2021. On September 25, 1930, James was born to Weldon and Mabel Jones in Palmer, Texas. He was the oldest of three boys. He grew up in Bardwell and Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1949.

Ava Yvonne Cave

Ava Yvonne (Myrick) Cave of McKinney, Texas passed away on September 22, 2021 at the age of 94 with family by her side.

Ava was born on February 23, 1927 to Velma O. Myrick and Essie M. (Combest) Myrick in Blue Ridge, Texas. She attended Blue Ridge and Melissa High Schools. While Ava was playing basketball in Melissa a young man named James Malcom Cave saw her and told his friend, “That’s the girl I’m going to marry.” and he did. Ava married James Malcom “Malc” Cave on June 23, 1943 in McKinney, Texas.

Bertie Lucille Jordan, 98, passed away in Ennis, Texas, on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Bertie was born in Ennis, Texas on March 6, 1923, to Judge Richard and Myrtle (Hunt) Berry. She grew up in Ennis, Texas and graduated from Ennis High School.

On October 25, 1941, she married her sweetheart James N. Jordan, and they made their home in Ennis.
