Martha Beasley, age 87, of Palmer, Texas, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021. Martha was born June 10, 1934, in Cedar Creek, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Clinton and Roma Mays, her older brother, Louis, her twin brother, Morris, her younger brother, Douglas, her son, Olen, and her daughter, Ramona.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Otis Beasley of Palmer, Texas, her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Joshua Carty of Klondike, Texas, one grandson, Ryan Elliott, and two granddaughters, Jade Carty and Jasmine Carty.

Mark Alan Wood, age 62, passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born on June 22, 1959, to parents Geraldine Ann Ritter and John Wallace Wood. In life, Mark enjoyed grilling for those he loved and was fisherman and loved rebuilding his Ford. He was a member of the Dallas Bump Club where he shared his love for vintage truck building and restoring. He worked for G.A.F. for 32 years. He married Sylvia in May of 2003.

Tracy S. Warren, Sr., 97, was born on April 29, 1923, and died of Covid-19 on January 10, 2021. He was born in Dallas, Texas to James C. and Letta P. Warren. After he graduated from Dallas Technical High School in 1942, he joined the Navy to help fight in World War II.

Michael Jerry (Mickey) Kubelka

Michael Jerry (Mickey) Kubelka passed away on July 11, 2021.

He liked to garden, fish and Facebook! He was born in Ennis on Feb. 18, 1951, to Frank H. and Emily Dolezal-Kubelka.

Mickey attended primary school at St. Johns Catholic School and then later went on to graduate from high school in Avalon ISD in 1969. Upon graduation he served in the U.S. Navy for 2 years.

Jim "JD" Ferguson

Ennis has lost a great man. Jim “JD” Ferguson passed away on July 7, 2021. Jim was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was also a proud Marine Vietnam vet. Jim was greatly loved by his family, friends and community. He had a great passion for antiques and you could always hear him before you could spot him. Jim could always be found at the local garage sales and auctions. Jim is survived by his wife, children and family. You will be greatly missed by all.

Jeniene Marie Young

The world welcomed Jeniene Marie Young on March 27, 1965, a day the world became a little brighter. A fighter until the end, she passed away on June 30. 2021, at the age of 56. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Jeniene is survived by her parents, DA Smith and Marie Wright; her brother, Brandon Smith; her three sons: Joshua (Allison) Young, Nicholas Young and Gabriel Young, and her three grandchildren: Addison Jeniene, Jenevieve and Oliver.

Jerry Woodrow Livingston, age 70, passed peacefully from this life and into the arms of God on Friday, July 2, 2021. For more than 30 years, Jerry battled heart disease, and although it never stopped him from doing the things he enjoyed, in the end it finally claimed him.

On August 23, 1966, Bobby RDean Wilson and Martha Gelene Ragsdale Wilson welcomed their son, Billy Dean, into the world at the old Corsicana hospital.

Marisela (Marcy) Rosa Linda Escobar

Marcy Escobar went to meet her Lord and Savior on July 6, 2021. She was 74 years old. Marcy was born in Mexico on July 6, 1947, to Martiniano and Sylveria (Escamilla) Rodriquez.

On December 3, 1966, she married Albert Escobar, the love of her life. They made their home in Ennis, where Marcy was a lifelong member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Marcy and Albert lived in many places including Indiana, North Carolina, California and Florida, but Ennis was always their home.
