• Give thanks for the dysfunctional family with which you live. Many who are weary of being alone would welcome the crises, comforts and confusions of your home, sweet, home.

• Give thanks for the United States of America and its flawed democratic process which still remains the best form of government on earth.

Not since the Y2K bug threatened to shut down the world’s computers on January 1, 2020. Everyone was on pins and needles until midnight struck and systems were still operating.

Those calling for an end of police, or to weaken them by defunding city and county budgets, have their complaints with how some in law enforcement behave when interacting with the public. The answer is not to punish them all, for in doing so brings an unintended risk to the safety of all. It also goes against the brunt of evidence strongly showing their value and effectiveness in maintaining stability in neighborhoods, businesses and public areas.

Don’t be surprised if a political apocalypse takes place in the coming weeks. If you’ve been paying attention to the media, both print and electronic, the Democratic Party is not going to accept anything less than a coronation in January.

Why else would there be so many stories with Nancy Pelosi saying how they will forcibly remove President Donald Trump if there is a disputed outcome. That is called a coup, or ousting, overthrow or a takeover of an existing government from power, likely with violent means.

I hope it brings about more discussion of what our freedoms and limitations ideally should be. consequences regarding their crimes. The criminal’s death forgoes any possibility of gaining restitution or amends for victims, family, society, or the courts. Life in prison is less expensive. At minimum, he could be put to work to defray costs.

Why do we text and drive?

Drive any where in town, along I-45 or U.S. 287 and the signs are everywhere. It is alarming and the numbers indicate it is getting more common and more dangerous.

On the highway texters will occupy the left lane – often because there are fewer vehicles in the passing lane, because they can see further ahead and allow for more car lengths between cars. Never mind the lane is designed for passing.

Texters are easily detected by continually turning their to the right or by glancing down – all to read while they are driving. Many will check for messages at red lights.
