Dogs learn much from humans, but they have been known to teach a boy about fidelity, perseverance and to turn around three times before lying down. As a close companion to man, they are said to be the only thing on earth that loves people more than it loves itself.
Ennis ISD recently added man’s best friend to its campus police force in a two-year old Belgian Malinois. The Dutch Shepherd mix is considered a canine officer, and his handler is Matthew Blair.
