Baylor (3-0) defeated Rice (0-4) in Houston, 21-13, on Saturday in a defensive game that saw former Ennis all-stater James Lockhart register a season-best four tackles (3 solo), with two TFL’s, including his first sack of the year and a fumble recovery. The Bears led 21-3 at halftime.
The 6’2, 263-lb senior DE also registered a pass break-up in addition to a pair of QB hurries. Lockhart, who wears No. 9, is seventh on the team with eight tackles and third in TFL’s. He is majoring in sport pedagogy, an introduction into teaching and coaching.
