Build My Life was the most popular worship song in churches over the past three years, according to new Faithlife Proclaim data, which also showed Hillsong had two songs in the Top 5.

Build My Life was co-written by Housefires’ Pat Barrett and features Chris Tomlin on vocals. It was nominated for the Worship Song of the Year for this year’s GMA Dove Awards in October.

Faithlife Proclaim is a church presentation software from Faithlife, the creators of the Logos Bible Software. The company compiled data from Proclaim users from the past three years.

High-speed chase ends in arrest

State Troopers and four Ennis police vehicles were involved in a highspeed, downtown chase that resulted in the successful capture of a suspect on Thursday morning.

A routine traffic stop by Department of Public Safety Troopers turned into a hot pursuit of the driver of a pickup truck who had entered Ennis jurisdiction. After requesting the assistance of the Ennis PD, sirens blared as the suspect took evasive actions on McKinney Street, then turned right onto Baylor with five or six officers following close behind.

Referring to his transition from Class 6A Waxahachie High School to Class 3A Scurry-Rosser as a very good experience, Ennis resident Adan Casas is quickly making himself at home.

“The community here, the people and the staff have accepted me quickly,” he said in his office on Thursday. “That is needed anytime there is a changeover, and the folks here have been great. It has helped me to feel so at home, and I am very happy to be here. I’m fired up about it.”
